I would have even appreciated a Focus Active ST. But then again, if Ford surprises us with an Escape ST, I am good with that.

That would be a type of redemption, though I'd hoped the "Active" cars were potential WRX competitors.

I'd like them to tune the 2.3's exhaust a bit, it seems like one universal complaint is a lack of visceral personality with the engine.

If GM can justify Buick, and if Honda can justify Acura, we can damned well have Mercury back.

With boosted I4's, I think the balance is keeping it not too obnoxious. Sure a WRX sounds cool, but I imagine that living with it daily is another thing entirely. Ford leans on the side of less cool for an ST level. Focus RS did not sound bad at all. But again, that's another level.
