Re: Focus MCE

Thanks 2B2 for this posting. I hope the sedan will get some much needed attention to the rear of the vehicle (imho) as well as the front. It's a nice looking car with the potential to be much better.

Re: Focus MCE

Nice....and if they turn the Focus sedan into a baby Fusion it will be a winner.

We should also see the new 1.5L EcoBoost as a $795 option, since it's necessary for the Chinese market where consumers save $300 annually on taxes for having an engine 1.5L or less.

The Ford Focus facelift has been spied ahead of an official launch set for next year.

As you would imagine, the Blue Oval company will adopt the Aston Martin-like front grille on the Focus as well, following the recipe used for the Mondeo/Fusion and Fiesta. Compared to the current Focus, the upper grille of the facelifted model appears to be considerably deeper while the number plate plinth has been lowered.

The two big triangular intakes found on the Focus' nose have been blanked off on this mule, most likely to make sure cooling is not affected by the smaller grille opening.

A reveal is likely to occur before the end of the year, with sales commencing early 2014.

good/interesting question, Andrew!!
I'd like to see electrocars LOSE the Grille
maybe use a solid paint+metal "pattern" like something some MB's or the BAW Concept-900

& I'd be happy with just new lenses for the TLs;
what I want changed/improved is the FRONT SEATS = less blocky/massive!! ...could help interior roominess SO much
a tweak to the passenger-side dash (which protrudes) would be good too imho

edit - re: the actual refresh
imho the original front end shoulda been Titanium Only (& maybe SE-SportPkg/'SES')
was just a bit too aggressive for a 'regular' compact

Re: Focus MCE

Good design so far and sale will increase. People should revisit the sedan vehicles and sedan will get more attention.

Don't compare yourself to others . You have no idea what their journey is all about!

Re: Focus MCE

I agree sctony, and having seen it, somehow the sedan looks better this time. More Fusion like I guess. But in reality, it really is a tight improvement and does away with the front that sometimes did not sit right with me. New one is a hit.
