I don't think it had it's own dedicated thread.
I really want to see Aviator spy shots!

Is this D6, or an updated D4?

From the rumors on here as well as other sites it's supposed to be D6

NOPE these cars are supposed to ride on the Continental platform. D6 is not launching here. Am I wrong?

I heard this rumor as well but I am not so sure on that either. I thought for sure Explorer would debut the D6

This is the CD 4.2 which is the Continental base. D6 will debut in 2018 as a 2019 model with the MKZ.

So that would mean there won't be a RWD based Aviator. But seriously, with Ford's new Intelligent 4WD system, it offers the efficiency benefits of FWD with the acceleration/corner/handling of RWD. This does seem like the best of both worlds for a consumer brand or luxury(never off road) midsize SUV.

Where do you get this informations from? All reports I've read had the Explorer/Aviator as the initial D6 launch vehicles.
