Re: 2019 Ford Ranger

It’s still a relatively new product for what is almost niche volumes, relative to full size. Bringing it to NA mostly as is at first, and then adjusting as needed for global product to include NA. Makes sense from a business POV. Better now than when all new Ranger hits another 4 years later or so. But dang, what took them so long? Employees have been begging for years. Oh wait, I know……they had to get rid of that product blocker, Alan M.

Don't get me wrong I am glad Ford is bringing the Ranger back but they really shot themselves in the foot on that one. I know several Ranger owners who were holding out to buy a new one but it never came the last gen lasted forever with barely any updates. Why do you think sales slid.

Yea.....I think the Global Ranger 'should' have come to the US when it launched globally. Instead of demolishing it's plant, they should have invested in it, so they would have more capacity for more SUVs. But at that time, all truck focus was on the new, massively important, aluminum F-150 with no room for error.

Re: 2019 Ford Ranger

Ford needs to offer all three different body styles, like they do with F-150:

Re: 2019 Ford Ranger

I really hate the style of current global Ranger. It only looks modestly good, when decked out at highest trim level with biggest tires.

I don't have high expectations for it. It will fill a niche segment, generate modest profit, and that's about it.

But Bronco is a whole other story. Can't wait to see that.

It does look better in a color with options.

...and that's just the mid-range XLT, really like the top spec Wildtrak.

Have you noticed that since 2010, Ford has evolved the styling away from the original
and taking on more Nth American lines, it's still not there yeet but I suspect that the
transition and alignment will be complete at the next product cycle.

Think Mini-me to F150 and Super Duty styling...

I am confident the upgrade will look good.
