Re: 2017 Lincoln Continental Prototypes Spotted

I hope that the Continental Black Label offers a blue, or possibly even red, interior! That's such a 60's/70's/80's thing, and I'd love to see it return.

Someone on Jalopnik said something to the effect of, "Bring back Brothel Blue and ***** House Red". That's my new motto going forward.

LEDs do open up a new avenue for headlight design which Continental is using to full effect.

The door handles are not mounted on the window sill, but the side mirrors are.

I'm not sure we'll see a Red Label product from Lincoln, they keep reinforcing their "Quiet Luxury" message. Maybe in the next decade, but who knows, this is a company that can pivot as it needs to.

Red Label anyone lol? Or maybe K-Series.
there have been plenty of post on FiN about more [Label}s, Badhac.
imho
anything other than adding a big-bucks FullyBespoke [WhiteLabel] would cheapen the whole concept to point of quickly needing abandonment

otoh
feel free to click the { RedPortfolio } in my sig for the short version of my suggestion

How do you figure this? In the pictures it appears they are just below the window trim, but looking at the close up shot the handle does look to be part of the trim and just the camouflage hangs down lower giving the appearance the handle is too.

No, then I'd be seeing an identical match for the concept and I'm not.

Some images do look like they're lower, but I can't find the close up anymore it was clear to me that it was just the material over that area as the bulge created by the handle itself was at the base and the rest was just a flap hanging down from it.

Jeez, it has that nasty fwd proportions. Only idiots can create an fwd flagship. The serious car must only come with the rwd system and the awd as an option. Besides, no v8? Lol this is a joke. Even the Koreans have it. Lincoln, you can forget about the serious game. You won't touch the big boys. Sad, but maybe next time.. Oh, I forgot. The next time won't happen, because ford, as far as I know, does want the v8s.lol

P.s. It's very sad. They had an opportunity to create a nice-balanced, powerful flagship, but they *ucked it up.

Good, glad you were able to get that off your chest. Run along to GMI now where you probably came from. Or just don't go there either because it's a fairly decent place and you'll stink it up more.

Re: 2017 Lincoln Continental Prototypes Spotted

I think the door 'openers' were positioned higher than normal, because they may be push actuated instill of a pull. With key fob near the vehicle, the doors may open by just pressing on the chrome piece, and an electric mechanism opens the door.

Remember that duel battery system Ford was testing that was to make it to market soon. The dual batter was to offer a separate battery for aux systems aside from primary vehicle functions. Charged via deceleration and break regeneration. I can't wait to hear what new technology this vehicle will offer.
