Doubtful. They said "new" and 2019.

Lincoln MKC Will Be Made In China

Ford has announced a new SUV strategy for China. Biggest news: the Lincoln MKC will be made locally at the Changan-Ford joint venture, starting in 2019.

Re: 2019 MKC Revealed

I don't think it's been announced yet. While it's likely, not announced.

The question is whether it'll be the new model (fully redesigned) they produce or the current model (refreshed). I can't see them producing the current one just to change to the new one in a year. Unless they plan on producing both the new and old at the same time?

Current Vehicles:
2009 Ford Flex Limited w/ AWD
Light Ice Blue/White Suede Roof | Med. Lt. Stone Interior | Vista Roof
2018 Ford Mustang GT Convertible
Lightning Blue | Black Top | Black Interior

That is strange because of this:

"By 2025 the brand wants to have an EV-version of every SUV it makes in China. First up is the Kuga EV. It will hit the market in 2019, with a 140 hp electric motor and a 450 kilometer range."

But in China it is common for several generations of the same vehicle to be in production at the same time. So current gen MKC and Kuga, along with next gen Kuga EV and MKC EV both in 2019? That's one way for Ford to offer EVs and ICE at the same time.

That was my point - I don't know if they're going to take that route and make the current one there, and import the new one from here, or if they're just going to build the new one there (and we keep the production here).

It's also the oldest of the bunch, and is about to be replaced (spy shots came out a few days ago).
