'Three levels of informational chimes Ė non-critical, soft-warning chimes and hard-warning chimes Ė will provide distinct musical alerts for about 25 features in the vehicle.'

Well, you can certainly tell that they want this vehicle to be special..

Re: Lincoln aviator teased

The all new Corsair most likely will debut in NY! Plus, perhaps the 80th anniversary Continental...? Or maybe that will be in Detroit? By the way latest dealer info is just 80 will be produced, all with coach doors.

Nobody can say that Lincoln is not trying to make their vehicles something special with a whole luxury experience. Entrust the Detroit Symphony Orchestra to compose and interpret the warning chimes of an SUV? This is another level of taking care of the details. Not even Rolls Royce has dared to much!

Very excited for this. Definitely in the running for my next car if it retains a lot of the conceptís styling; which it looks to have.

Re: Lincoln aviator teased

When I see the new Aviator, memories of Ford sedans (and coupes...) from decades ago come to me. The long hoods, the large grills, the headlights placed in elevated position, the general lines from front to back and from top to bottom, the prominent wheel arches. A general appearance of power, speed and elegance When I see the new Aviator I can not stop thinking about cars like the LTD II and Thunderbird of the 70's.

Logans Run likes this.

Well, they also have Corsair to launch too.

I'm guessing they see it as quite an important product for the brand (which it is), and want it to get the attention before debuting Explorer.

Current Vehicles:
2009 Ford Flex Limited w/ AWD
Light Ice Blue/White Suede Roof | Med. Lt. Stone Interior | Vista Roof
2018 Ford Mustang GT Convertible

How about that. I had no idea what to expect, but this seems to fit nicely.

Even though Iím not in the market for an Aviator (itís more vehicle than Darling Wife and I need now, plus I just ordered a Reserve II MKZh that I expect to receive in January or maybe by Christmas if Iím lucky), I still cannot wait to see it in person!

I truly hope that Lincoln is ďall inĒ on the Aviator and is making it something truly special that those with the need for such a vehicle (and the $$ to buy one) wonít be able to resist buying (or leasing) one.

Lincolnís current Navigator has made real progress recently in restoring Lincolnís reputation (to some degree, the Continental has done that, too). I hope Lincoln continues that progress, and that its newest products like the Aviator are so attractive and well-executed they demand positive attention in the automotive press and serious consideration by the buying public. I hope the Aviator becomes the kind of vehicle people aspire to own. (Fingers crossed.)

On my 5th Lincoln in a row, having bought a 2019 MKZ-Hybrid Reserve II on 22 December 2018.
