No Love at Ford; No Love at FIN

The dearth of activity at the Lincoln Discussion Forum signals the lack of love for Lincoln in Dearborn. With Ford making, walking back and modifying announcements about its future plans, Lincoln flies under the radar as the stealth marque.

Even the fake news about Lincoln fronted on FIN never appeared under the Lincoln Discussion banner. We even heard from a Ford of Europe exec about the state of battery tech (he's probably in solitary confinement now for his breach) but cobwebs are forming here. Lincoln has a president but his mouth must be taped shut; a management team with their mikes turned off.

There's no excitement here. No steak. No sizzle. No news. Nothing.

Re: No Love at Ford; No Love at FIN

They announced the Lincoln Aviator, Navigator Hybrid, New MKC (with new name), Continental with suicide doors, plus another unnamed vehicle in the next few years. I do agree with you however, more news and talk out of LiMoCo would be nice.

Agreed. I, too, would like to see more discussion and insight about Lincoln on here.

On my 5th Lincoln in a row, having bought a 2019 MKZ-Hybrid Reserve II on 22 December 2018.

There has to be news to discuss...

Most Lincoln threads just get put in the FMC discussion section anyway.

Well, it would make some sense to not wait a model year after the new Escape.

I'd love to hear that this is actually happening.

We've already seen near finished prototypes running around.

Probably, unless they give it its own event. They also have to show the production Aviator too.

You are right, of course. I would like for there to be more news out of Lincoln Motor Co. Then, perhaps there would be more happenings and announcements to discuss here....

I certainly am no expert on the business of big-time auto shows but it seems to me that Lincoln could make quite a PR splash if it would introduce two vehicles, the new Aviator and the new Corsair (if that ends up being its name), at the same auto show.

Would give Lincoln fans and aficionados something to chew on for a while, and maybe get some positive buzz about Lincoln in the industry press. Lincoln has to do a really good job on those two vehicles (well, all of them, actually) if it wants to build on the pretty solidly positive press garnered by the Navigator.
