yup
Omg the resident fin baby is throwing another tantrum! Calling everyone trolls is getting lame. I commented on an article that falconlover posted. Rather than offering an intelligent response, u lash out. Typical.

And why bring up Cadillac? Did I design, engineer or even say that I like the XT6? Youíre insecurity is showing lmfao

I was talking about hybrid reviews. Of the ones I read (or watched), the Autoblog one was the only one to mention drive issues.

Current Vehicles:
2009 Ford Flex Limited w/ AWD
Light Ice Blue/White Suede Roof | Med. Lt. Stone Interior | Vista Roof
2018 Ford Mustang GT Convertible
Lightning Blue | Black Top | Black Interior

Re: 2020 Lincoln Aviator First Drive

Lots of video reviews out there already for the PHEV. I really enjoy them much more for this class of vehicle, because the reviewers emotions are heard in words that won't convey in print or metrics. And you get the benefit of better visual and sounds. This one below is very positive, claiming the $3K cost for the PHEV option is well worth the money. PHEV is the way forward for me in the near term. If you live 20 miles or less from work, and can charge at work, you drive without filling up through the week. And travel, something I would love to do with this, does not become a challenge to plan out, worrying about range, charging, etc. Best of all worlds.

Congrats to Lincoln. Well done.

Yes heís a good reviewer but not super thorough. And he and his wife both own Cadillacs so we know he has good taste.

Good review. But Iíd take a telluride any day over this...just couldnít look at that navigator...er, sorry, aviator front or butt everyday

All high level reviews....I want to see a really good in depth review, this is concerning:
——-
Well, in terms of acceleration, at least. There are actually some drivability issues. The throttle is difficult to modulate smoothly from a start, at least when driving in hybrid mode with the plug-in battery portion fully drained. No matter how slowly and progressively we toe the pedal, there's a slight jerking as if the gasoline and electric motors aren't entirely getting along. The brake pedal is also a little bitey relative to the gas-only Aviator, which isn't unusual for a hybrid and is more easily acclimated to than the throttle.

All that extra battery weight also negatively impacts the ride due to the need for firmer spring rates. Despite riding on smaller wheels than the gas-only Aviator we drove, the Grand Touring has a somewhat nervous ride that transmits little road imperfections into the cabin.
——

I am wondering how much it would detract from the experience, this is not the kind of thing that a $90k buyer expects to experience in their brand new vehicle and a detailed review would be able to crack this open more.

My daily commute is less than 3 miles one way.

It's actually sad that this is going to be my mother's vehicle.

On short drives, this Avi will really shine. I often get into stop&go on my short commute due to traffic lights and my engine on my Q7 never really gets up to temperature which results in a really crappy gas-mileage...

Current rides:
2017 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid Black Label
2017 Audi Q7 Prestige
