what I really would like to know is
What feature-set would allow a STARstang to start (well-)under $50k

specifically-since, imho,
it'd be sooo easy to NOT do that:
...2.7t
+ Awd / Virtual-Awd
+ room for 4 adults

= well worth $50k or more

...you may say Lincoln doesn't compete with Buick and that this is only a concept but I think this is more of a reason for a RWD Lincoln coupe.

I agree but I also join the multitude who think it won't be cost effective until Ford brings out a new RWD platform that supports AWD. Then, I'll lose hope if Lincoln is not given the green light to develop its own family of RWD sedans and coupes.

I just wonder if they could do like what Jaguar did for my car, that platform was not designed with AWD in mind and they added it to it--and it was very close to the end of its life cycle. So I wonder if they could adapt the S550 for AWD and what the costs would be.

an odd website that seems to be trying to look like it's official(?)
so
as inspiration OR a caution OR donor for a new chop:
"releaseford.com"

Re: STARstang: the Beginning?

since I just posted about the Genesis 3-series alternative, the NY-Concept
& Tesla is supposedly going to show at least a picture of their confirmed Model III the end of March
wondering
by April Fools' Day... what Lux(ish) Brand will be left without an indication of being in the "Highest Luxury Segment"...

...other than Lincoln??

Re: STARstang: the Beginning?

STARstang Sportsedan, 'S654' = 4" wlb stretch;
50% Model 3 + 30% MusStang + 10% Conti + 5% each MKZ/DrvPkg & Other

note: got burned out by the time I got to the TLs,
they should have a touch of GenesisNYCconcept plus lamps like Conti HLs but sideways...

A next gen SL mule? New AMG GT? E-Class coupe? Merc engine Aston Martin mule?

Why put an odd looking SWB S body on it, its not a quick cut and shut, its a pretty well finished body, and there's no swirly camo either. GT is still fairly new, so a new SL or AMG Aston is a more probable explanation. Any other ideas?
