2008 L.A. autoshow: what we will see there?

In my vacations next fall, i will go to California. I want to know San Francisco and Los Angeles. In Los Angeles, i want to go to the 2008 L.A. Autoshow. What do you spect to see there, guys? What is the best way to travel betwing San Francisco and L.A.? Train or bus? If i take the bus, which bus must i take ?: the bus that stop at all towns or the other that is fast? I hope you can say something to me about this ....

I would rent a vehicle and just drive down. But for you, coming from Venezuela, I think a garmin in the car would be great.

Re: 2008 L.A. autoshow: what we will see there?

hi F.L.
I hope to get back to LA for the autoshow too!
imho
the way to get from LA to SF (never say 'Frisco') is to Fly or Drive*
to the best of my memory, there's no direct train service (due to the coastal tracks getting landslided-out quite some time ago)

purely theoretically at this point**
IF we both get to LA
you could drive up to SF with me (on my way back to Reno)
((edit - which are you thinking of going to First?))

on topic
Mustang
Milan, Fusion, (& 80%-likely MKZ)
MKS's we can sit in!!!!
Mazda6's ^ditto^ !!!!!!!!!!!!!
maybe the nextgen Mz3?
& therefore maybe the S40/V50 replacement?
guess the XC60 will be there
hard to believe we'll ever see a new S60
oh...
and I suppose a bunch of other mfgs...

* buses would probably take interstate "5" (boring)
instead of the gorgeous (tho longer/tiring) coast road ("101" &or "1", still confuses me, but that's not hard )
** my situation is sooo up in the air, 'tomorrow' is tentative

Im thinking to go firt to SF...but that's today plan. That would change, and, if you will go to L.A. autoshow , we could meet there and go to SF together when you return to Reno!! Is a nice plan.

What about the MK-T ? or a new concept car?
Whatever, i want to go to the NAIAS in January, too !!!!! I hope so....

I agree with 2b2. Fly or drive. Stay away from the I5 and instead do the scenic coastal highway or whatever its name is. Its a lovely drive and you see cars to die for there. Its an autoshow all by its self the right days.

oh, and if you smoke, don't throw the ashes or the butts out of the windows, please.

imho NAIAS will have the MKS-eboost & 95%-production MKT & for-sure MKZ
Mr.M favors concepts that get built so I don't expect any pure-showcars

umm.. smoking isn't allowed IN my car anyway - somewhat hypocritically perhaps

^ the 'don't throw out the butts/ashes' (i think) was more about fire danger

with all the 'wildfires' in California, we've been able to smell/see the smoke really bad in Reno until just the last couple days
