Re: OrderGuides: F-M-L 2010
Great thanks for posting 2b2 and LMdealer. But there is one thing I don't like it appears that the 2010 Fusion will of the 3.5L V6 but the 2010 Milan will only offer the 3.0L V6. In my opinion that is total BS.
And why aren't 18" wheels and a Sport Pack. available? I feel like the Milan is really getting the cold shoulder in this refresh.

Re: OrderGuides: F-M-L 2010
^ I'm much less upset about the 3.0-only**, Mr. SABLE
than
- the discontinuation of Dark Ink Blue
on all three!
*
- the hybrids losing a folding rear seatback
- Milan losing it's Alcantara Appearance Pkg
** since I sorta recommended that waaaay before the oil-ga$ spike
& believe a 3 Litre engine will be desirable at resale time
& the 3.0 is E85-FlexFuel-able!!!
& comes with a SelectShift manumatic!
other things I like (so far)
- alloys wheels std on all trims
...esp the Fusion SEL's! (don't think I'm jealous...)
- puddle lights
std on All Milans but requiring a Pkg or SEL on Fusion
- having Nav AND/OR rearview-mirror(non-Nav) availability of the rear cameras
& find oh-so interesting that
they seem to be going with restricting interior colors to specific exterior colors (which I recommended specifically for Mercury - BUT also recommended MORE INT COLORS & MORE EXT COLORS!!!!!)
* ok Ford, listen up
SportBlue is GREAT for Fusion
MILAN NEEDS STEEL-BLUE (OOooo/AHhhh, Oh so subtle!!)
MKZ shoulda kept DkInk (or a similar, maybe-even-darker Blue)
&
ya gotta tone down the Lt.IceBlue just a notch = "AluminumBlue"

The Hybrid versions loosing fold rear seats doesn't make any sense either.
The Alcantara Appearance Pack. was a fantastic option and it looked great in my opinion.

Re: OrderGuides: F-M-L 2010
Any idea why the Fusion will be available with red exterior and light stone interior, but the Milan is not? That's a very common color combination. I suppose it could be a misprint. Saw a slight misprint in the interior description for the Premier, as is says cloth in one place and leather in another.
Hope the light stone interior will be two-tone as it is for the 2009 model. I think it looks more sporty than just one solid color.
As for the 3.5L, I was also disappointed that it is not available in the Milan. I had heard that there was to be a souped up Fusion GT that was cancelled. I suppose putting the 3.5 in a new Sport version was a quick and easy alternative since the 3.5 is already used in the MKZ. Have heard the 3.0L is getting a small power increase, so that is some consolation. And why does only the front wheel drive version get the E85 engine, while it looks like the AWD does not? What's so different?

^ & ^^ welcome to the forum, KCM11!!
I didn't catch that Red/Camel thing - think I would've gone with Camel in the Smokestone and the 2tone Stone for the Red
&/but
wonder why they didn't offer Cinnamon on either the Milan or MKZ?
tho I haven't seen it in person yet, I feel like I have cuz of all the time I've spent at the MKS's site
...it'd look super on a CD3 too
(esp with a terra-cotta Alcantara appearance pkg!!!)
sounds like the SelectShift™ manumatic is "available" on all the v6's
but I didn't see a any other other transmission listed for them...
hope that FlexFuel omission is just a typo.

Probably has something to do with the 3.5L engine. Maybe the manuals can't handle the power of the 3.5L, or the powertrain configuration is not set up in the Ford production system.

Re: OrderGuides: F-M-L 2010
there is no one interested in V6 manual combo - ford has 2% take rate on it in 2004 when deciding on the original packaging - even Mazda cancelled it in the 09 Mz6 .. people who buy midsize with a v6 go for luxury - not manual transmissions.
