Ford AU:Drive for hydrogen engine

Car maker Ford will work with Melbourne University to develop hydrogen engine technology in Australia.

The company said yesterday it would provide engines and other resources to a research project that has also been awarded a $1.2 million grant from the State Government.
As well as working on engine development, the project will investigate hydrogen generation and storage technology.
Ford Australia president Tom Gorman said the project was the first to research hydrogen engines using an Australian-sourced engine.
