Newsflash: killing off a current sedan or two or even three, does not equate to killing off an entire segment.

What? This just further confirms what a load of BS you are. Ford isn't killing Fusion right?

Given declining consumer demand and product profitability, the company will not invest in next generations of traditional Ford sedans for North America. Over the next few years, the Ford car portfolio in North America will transition to two vehicles – the best-selling Mustang and the all-new Focus Active crossover coming out next year.
They told you they are getting out of the sedan business and why...but nope...you have alternative facts.

You speak as an insider and are constantly wrong, I'm calling you out on it because it's obviously intentional misinformation at this point.

You did far more than call me out, your words are just harsh and that is your nature.
I could easily "call you out" many times as well, even insult you, but that is not my nature. Not unless I am provoked, as I am here. But, not worth it. I could also elaborate on how future new vehicle codes were mistaken for something else entirely. But again, you sir are not worth it.

Carry on with your sweet charm.

It's remarkable how selective or short your memory is. And again, more vague and irrelevent BS in your posts.

This logic is like saying if a song or album is not written by Niki Manaj, Meghan Trainor or Ed Sheeran, the song won't sell because it's not written by a popular artist, therefore X Artist should be more like them or stop writing music.

Re: Fusion/Fiesta/Taurus Officially Cancelled

I think what's being buried here is that Ford is doubling its cost cutting targets which means bigger cuts are coming. Some of those cuts may come to Lincoln as well.

Quote:
Shanks said small cars and "most Lincoln products" are among those losing money.

Ford officials already signaled that some cars would be removed from the portfolio as consumers gravitate toward far more profitable pickups, SUVs and crossovers. He said the Lincoln brand as a whole is not in danger but noted that it lost money in China because it is in ramp-up mode there after being introduced in 2014.
Lincoln axing their sedans seems fairly likely with Ford elminating that investment.

Also, Ford is looking at leaving unprofitable markets with South America under review.

It seems very likely we'll get to some layoffs and plant closures soon, especially with this much volume going away.
