Why invest in something few would want.

I'm almost positive they announced it will be 2 and 4 door.

When this topic came up when the teaser image was first revealed, Ford product communications manager Mike Levine replied "Ford never said it would be four-door only."

The Bronco in the teaser looks like a short 2-door though, based on the position of the side mirrors in relation to the wheel arches.

If it is a 4-door, it must have short/small rear doors.

You might be right then. I just never heard them say it, and just assumed.

Trust me, I have owned Bronco, and jumping up into the back seat is for kids only. However, you may get your wish for a manual.

My uncle was a Cadillac man but always bought Broncos. I loved borrowing his broncos. And he had three young daughters...two doors weren’t an issue but that was full size so maybe the new one will be exclusively 4 door but I think ford would be missing an opportunity to offer something unique and as someone else posted, not everyone wants or needs a 4 door. I remember the popularity of “personal” 2 door SUVs..blazer, bronco II, pathfinder, 4Runner. (I know that the 2dr pathfinder was short lived, but the 4dr retained a sporty look on the same wb) You can’t tell me there isn’t a market for these anymore...people can only buy what is available.
And nearly everything available is soccer-mobiles, so ford has an excellent opportunity to appeal to a different crowd. Let everyone else buy their escapes, equinoxes, crvs and the plethora of boring Nissan suvs.

Re: New Ford Ad

well there has been a couple of new commercials beside the one mentioned here... they look pretty **** good.. Finally Ford is not listening and watching the other guys knock Ford.. The main commercial doesn't need to show the trucks.. they have their own..

Re: New Ford Ad

I'm pretty sure that it doesn't look like this. Just wanna do some Mach 1 chops (actually after all the teasers this name looks pretty appropriate).

Nice chop!

We may not see this much Mustang design in the Mach1 but if we do, I wouldn't be surprised. A little Mustang DNA can only help Ford's crossover/sedan redefinition since it is the only desirable/aspirational car they have or had. I like the bit of Land/Range Rover look in their bigger SUVs so, IMO, these design trends hold promise for Ford's future prospects among consumers.
