Re: 2019 Chicago Auto Show

I'm just gonna leave this here for consideration:

from the pics I've seen, that 7.3 looks to have a tidy footprint...maybe tidier than, say, some 4.6/5.4 motors with big ol' OHC heads...

...just thinking out loud, a bit....

If GM can justify Buick, and if Honda can justify Acura, we can damned well have Mercury back.

They designed it for a near perfect stoic burn. Great combustion system overall ( I even had a hand in it ). But adding the cost and noise and DI at the optimized speeds (low lug limits as well) would have offered almost zero added benefit.
My concerns were premature, the GM 6.6 is barely more powerful than the current 6.2.

That was a given, the Coyote motors are massive!

Great looking.

Interesting that the 7.3L will have similar specs to the Raptor TT 3.5L, but I would take the heavier V8 in a heartbeat.

OH MY GOD! Almost 100,000$ for a F-150 truck? OH MY GOD!

And some doubted that a Lincoln Navigator worth the 100,000$ price...

And, at some place in Chicago, RAM is introducing the magic tailgate.... invented by Ford in 1966!

...it’s insane and looks like an aftermarket tape and trim job. Too bad.
