Most test vehicles I see have gobs of additional plumbing, wires, harnesses, test ports, etc.
Much of it is rigged over and over again. Lots of room for error with far less engineered thought as there are far fewer standards, design guides, etc. to follow with each cobbled test vehicle.

The fire don't surprise me, but how it burned was interesting.

It was all that vinyl cladding that is extremely flammable that made the fire worse.
