2011 Fusion: New Interior Color Nothing is changing on the 2011 Fusion, but look at this new color. www.FordInsideNews.com

During the Los Angeles auto show we spotted something interesting in one of the 2011 Fusions on the show floor- a fairly wild interior color. It was in a 2011 Fusion SEL and called "Ginger" on the window sticker. It is very similar to the Moroccan leather General Motors offered in the former Saturn Aura. What do you think?
The new color further solidifies Ford's new bold color palette for their latest products. The recently-launched Fiesta small car wears bold colors, witch white and "plum" leather seating options. Kudos to Ford for keeping things interesting.
It is a nice color, I like it in the Navigator best.
It looks good in the Fusion as well.
It is nice to see Ford / Lincoln offering more than just black and grey interiors. I would like to see some more colors in the future as well... as long as they are not bright blue or 90's green
The one in the Mustang is different then (actually you can see that from the pics, I thought that the Mustang one had some sort of color correction). Its called Sddle.
^ yeah, all the models have different "natural" colors/shades therefore with different names
&
btw
we saw the Fusion's Ginger interior at NAIAS last January in the MotorTrend COTY Fusion.
I can't find the thread anymore but know I posted some photos shot by BORG
Atleast Ford is putting different colors in their interiors... just checked out a Edge the other day, the interior design was so bland and boring and black I almost fell asleep...
The quality is their, but they need to step their game up on interior design, they all look the same and are boring...

Imho, the problem with what I call "natural" color leather interiors is that they're a little like skin-tones in pictures = if they're even a little 'off' they can look really unpleasant & weird
also (like re: the Mustang) some models need their natural adjusted in different ways
stronger hue or more muted, lighter or darker
imho the Mustang needs a lighter "Buff" color
however, I am soooooooooooo tired of most of Ford's "Stone" interiors
they're just too non-descript
As Rosanne Rosannadanna would've said, "It's not beige, it's not gray, it's not white, it's not tan ... WHAT IS IT?"
When I participated in GMI, I mostly kept in the Ford section and only participated in the GM or other brand related threads when there was BS spoken about Ford. Those were rough days since GM was going through their shameful bankruptcy and sensibilities were at their heights, great members like mgescuro suffered the attacks of some taliban like faction in GMI. And of course under those circumstances I got banned.
New GM comes here only to troll, which is fine by me as long as he knows the consequences and is prepared for them.
What I would appreciate is if you could refrain from putting me in the same 'sac' with this person, I am a member who constantly contributes with relevant information and comments. I may be more harsh in my responses to NGM than most but I am sure that my dislike for his trolling is shared by again . . . most.
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
