There are 2 ford explorer renderings the one with the Fusion lower grill is the original one and the other is one i made after recieving comments from BlueOvalForums.com

Re: Merc Mountaineer and Ford Explorer 201?

hi, Reigner92
those look good

actually I'm amazed how much I like your Merc since I got tired of the MetaOne a long time ago - - seeing its features on the rounded shape of this donor gives it a whole new life
Very Interesting

the main thing I'd suggest is to use the same vertical slats from the grille in the lower fascia opening - maybe tinted black

I saw the comments about your Explorer
not sure if I can help any
but
I STILL love the shield-grille of the concept

Hi 2b2!

Well, for starters, here is the base image that I have found - http://www.netcarshow.com/ford/2008-...llpaper_06.htm .

RE: the Raptor grille. Well, that was my original idea, but the best angle I found for the grille had it rounded so it looked like a right royal mess by the time I tried to hack it on... I'll have another go but, just for you!

Cheers, Ben

Ooooooooo WE get it First B) heh heh heh

I wonder if there's anyway to combine the best features of the Raptor's mesh with the ExplorerAmerica's 'shield-grille' (+ a touch of new Taurus)???
oops
just remembered how much I *like(d)* the Bronco Concept's version too (IT was FIRST iirc)

Re: Merc Mountaineer and Ford Explorer 201?

it good basically
just looks like you just changed the width of the whole pic
(hope it wasn't a lot more - no criticism intended )
and
imho it's mainly the wheels that cause the squished feeling...
...looks like the wheelwells are big enuf that you could paste un-squished wheels in them
care to try that, Aussie_Ford?

ps did you find Need4speed's version?
