Re: New to me Mustang

Livernois advertises 50 hp and 40 lbs/ft of torque. However, in spite of seeing their dyno sheets, I find that to be overly optimistic considering all they do is revise air/fuel ratio and ignition timing.

What are you power estimates with the tune in place?

Re: New to me Mustang

Thanks Guys!! I am pretty impressed with it. The engine, clutch and transmission make for a surprisingly smooth and friendly combination. I hadn't driven a stick in about 20 years but I feel right at home with this. While the ride quality with the 35 series summer tires is pretty stiff on poor roads, it is actually relatively smooth on decent freeways.

I have the Airaid cold air intake and resonator delete pipe on. It sounds wickedly good when pulling hard or at high RPM. Yet, when cruising in 6th gear and low rpm, it is quieter than I expected. It is actually surprisingly refined....for what it is. It has Sync 3 so the Nav, climate, audio user interface is just like my Continental.

I have a Livernois tune ordered. Since I had their tune on my old Lincoln MKS and still have their tuning device, they provide me with free tunes for the Mustang. I am anxious to see how much difference that makes.

I would like to locate some stock Mustang 18 inch wheels with all-season tires for the car. That would improve the ride and also make it more practical in our climate. I could then reinstall the 20s and summer tires for drag strip use.

Love the choice in color, wheels and interior. Don't see that much.
