Re: C8 Corvette Reveal

People have to decide if they want a Tesla Model 3 Performance or a C8. No muscle car buyer will want a C8 since it is mid engine. People who buy used 10+ year old Ferrari/Lambos will also be drawn to the new C8 too. All will cost a bundle in maintenances. I would buy a Ferrari if had the dough over a C8!

...don't forget to mention the Tesla Model 3, which is compared to anything with 4 wheels, always being faster (in a straight line and for a limited time). It's strange not to have seen comparisons between a bullet train and the Tesla yet ...

True, both have no direct competitors with each other when it comes to 2-seater sportscars/supercars.

It's okay for GM to have some success without telling ourselves it's somehow in response to the great Ford Motor Company!
I applaud such a well measured, and thoughtful response. The C8 has zero natural competitors at the great Ford Motor Company.

Then again a number of potential GT500 owners were upgrading from their Mustang GT daily drivers.

We know 6 footers will fit in the 48 inch tall C8 but how does it feel getting in and out of one on a regular basis?
Another question is the non-expandable trunk next to the V8, does it get warm?

Warm? Oh no....I think , after a travel of 200 miles on a freeway in summer, it will be something like this:

The Ford GT40 looked nothing like a Ferrari, its angular wedge-shaped design was the complete opposite of Ferrari's curvy styling. The current GT retains the same iconic silhouette as the GT40.

The original Cobra was based on an AC Ace and was sold in Europe as the AC Cobra. No copying there, it was a partnership/agreement.

There were mid-engined Corvette prototypes in the past but they all retained the Corvette design language.
The C8 as many pointed out looks like an old Ferrari 360/F430 with McLaren-like intakes. If you cover the nose, it can literally be any sports car.
