Re: Ford Expedition 2015 spy

I do what little I can to raise awareness and excitement level for future FoMoCo products, but within reason as I canít divulge stuff too sensitive. Mostly tidbits about topics that are already out there or have been discussed already. A few hints from time to time as well.
I completely understand that many would like more, so I hope you understand.

Ok, Wings... I'm near my birthday (50, like the Mustang!) and i want some nice information (by private message?) about the new Navigator or next Mustang or whatever you have. Think that you will make happy a Ford fan in that special date...

This is true. Everybody remember the past Detroit auto show, when Ford ruined the GM big pickups trucks debut, presenting its Atlas concept. I enjoyed it too much!

Re: Ford Expedition 2015 spy

adding EcoBoost and gears will transform these large SUV's all while greatly improving mpg's. They are what they are, large do-everything, function-over-form utility things that can tow a house and move your family in comfort, all year long, anywhere.

Nothing else will do all that.

And how foolish would they be if they took the stupid route of form over function, not unlike some failed attempts....

Any updates now are there just to bring it up to code and reduce inefficiencies (orphaned parts).

Worse yet, Lincoln is stuck with another ancient holdover that they can't fix to integrate into its newer culture.
1. As I understand it this MCE will take the current platform forward for only a couple years before the new, lightweight F150 based replacement hits the road.

2. In spite of its age I personally think the overall shape of the trucks is still better than the new GM equivalents. Further it, along with the Expedition are the only trucks in its class with IRS, so there's that.

Assuming they are ditching the teenager with braces front end and upgrading the interior significantly along with updated engines then as far as I'm concerned they'll be competitive with the all new GM trucks in spite of their age.
