I have said all I want to say about the new Focus. Lets see how it sells. I think it will slightly exceed expectations. That is good enough. Yeah I know, they should have targeted a home run. But what is that exactly, and how can they with limited capital as they are currently also engineering the future Focus as well.

sounds to me like the writer(s) tried as hard as they could to diss it - and failed :p
8sec 0-60 for the loaded top model (heaviest) does Not sound slow to me

seeing Ford doing more & more continual improvement - like every year - won't surprise me to see the 2.5 work its way thru the Focus range - starting with a sport model next year

(RANT: I reeaally want to see a Mercury version!!!)

i think Ford of america and europe are both in transistion phases where the models are a bridge to something better to come, i mean the American focus can arguebly called "homely" and the refreshed euro focus is very bland, so the 2011 Focus can only be better and hopefull return the nameplate back to its 2000 glory.
