"Caught out-and-about in the US, Ford’s development team have worked to obscure the update Ranger’s look, but it is clear where that new face comes from."

It looks like Ford is creating more crisp lines for the front end of the Ranger to better compete with the new Colorado coming this fall.

Yes, Ford is testing a right-hand drive Ranger in the US because it's coming to the US. I look forward to this new way of driving!

But the new Colorado design is US only right? The Ranger won't be competing with that truck.
That specific version of the Colorado is a North America-only version, but it's based on the "rest-of-the-world" Colorado which has softer-styling and a front-end the resembles the pre-facelift Traverse.

Everest headlights??
Actually the entire front end will be identical to the Everest except for a few cosmetic bits, like a different grill patern and maybe different bumper trim.

If you look closely, the Ranger's grill may have the thick bar design seen in some F-series trucks, but the shape is the same as the Everest's grill.
