Not sure if anyone knows this, but Explorer is about to get an interior upgrade. Should be announced next month, and prob available as a 21 MY
Those news are really good news. The weakest part of the Explorer is the interior. I can’t believe that this car come from the same design study that made the interior of the Aviator or the new Bronco. The interior is really ugly , with cheap appearance and messy arrangement. A new interior will be welcomed

Not all new, just some freshening in trim, materials, etc. The design and layout is actually very nice. The materials on the top trim levels is very nice, right up there with the best in class. In retrospect, I think Ford was trying to hard to differentiate it from the Aviator, and went too far. But Ford recognized an opportunity while the competition came on strong, and that is Ford's strong suite lately, not waiting years to fix a sore spot in an important segment.

But still looks great today,
