Independent designer Marco Procaccini has come up with a new concept study for a modern day Alfa Romeo sports coupe with a front-engine, rear-wheel drive layout.

The study is named Carlo Chiti after the Italian racing car and engine designer, who was best known for his work at Alfa Romeo's motorsports division.

Procaccini says the compact size and lightweight coupe has seating for two and measures 4,050mm long, 1,830mm wide, and 1,250mm tall.

This is the best looking Alfa I've seen in years. However, I would hate to see a front license plate on this puppy. (lol)

I *really like* that front quarter view (but then I like Art Deco & Nouveau) with the exception of the front fascia
(over styled & doesn't match the rear which would be better imho)
but the side view lets me down a bit too.

IF they made a Miata look like this, I can't imagine which demographic(s) would buy it - it's just so different from anything else on the market, including other Alfas
