This MKZ Concept still looks like Peter Horbury's design. Hopefully, the next concepts/models they will let Max loose. The MKZ is going to be a million times better than what they have now. It is a good start though.

The concept MKZ does look like Peter Horbury's design just refined, and i believe he will improve Lincoln in the long run if the cars now can sell decently. How much is Ford going to wait for Lincoln to turn around.

Welcome to the forum, cobra#1
(if I haven't said it before)

&
the concept MKZ IS Peter Horbury's design, the 5 year old MKR
just
with modified front & rear and the sideways "ribcage" grille
+ stretched/shrunk to fit the MONDEO

imho, IF Mr. Wolff will improve Lincoln in the long run depends an AWFUL lot on the suits who approve the designs

&
THANKS a bunch for posting this, Andrew

I've wanted to see this video since the Design forum happened!
...now might have to wait until I can get to the Library - my "connection" is driving me crazy tonite/lately

Just a reminder that the Z as already in progress when Max Wolff took over. The yet to be released Z is just a transition vehicle until we get the next new model(s). Could that be the Aviator? Production C Concept variant? OR.......

From what I have heard the next vehicle will be a C segment crossover that is supposed to be sporty in some way shape or form.

Before the MKZ Concept and MKZ grille teaser was revealed, I thought the whole entire MKZ was going to be designed by Max Wolff because in USA Today and AutoNews people that had seen it created so much hype about it. And not only was it the media, it was Ford themselves. They acted as if it was a Cadillac Ciel Concept(which was so amazing) rival.

Max was unfortunately to late to have his hand in the whole mkz design, but should have come soon enough to design the upcoming models. I still think a model should come out unannounced that is either a sports car that's RWD/AWD or a coupe.

^^ yeah Andrew, the MKG
(my letter choice for MKuGa - plus it sounds 'cute' to me)
but judging by Fomoco's silence, it won't be out before next year :toetap:

OH!
my connection settled down last night & I saw the video

but it wasn't really informative for us weblings - I asked on Lincoln's facebook that they youtube Mr. Wolff's FULL presentation

re: Max Wolff & the timing of the new design studio...
...I'm starting to believe their first/real 'mission critical' is/are the RWDs:
Mustang co-platformed - to be ready after April 2014
&
GRwdP - whenever

Agree N.R.
I've lost all faith in DeLorenzo's & McElroy's taste level
but
I don't quite buy Max was too late so much
as
the suits/approvers Liked & Wanted to use the MKR's 5-year-old body
and didn't let him change much
(which is worse imho)

DeLorenzo's & McElroy's truly made the car sound game changing, but hopefully the production car looks a tad better since there is bound to be small changes. It would be a sad day if it looks worse then the concept. :(
