the Sonata was/is Fusion-sized
Elantra was 169.3 ovl, 104.3 wlb
imho they've needed something in between - dunno if the Elantra is growing
The all-new Elantra sedan is coming soon, and Hyundai are giving us a sneak peek...
...What we do know for sure is that the US version of the Elantra will come with a 1.6-liter T-GDi engine mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, which will allow the vehicle to deliver as much as 43 mpg on the highway.
High strength steel is used in 53% of the body, and the drag coefficient is a mere 0.27, making the Elantra among the most aerodynamic offerings in the segment.

trying to convince myself to check the HyundaiU.S website...
...thought I got the current measurements after getting a 2015my Hyundai brochure at our autoshow last Feb
It's built on a low-cost version of the Focus Mk2's C1 platform which the current Global C is based on. They ditched the control blade independent rear suspension and put a Fiesta-style torsion beam.
The Interior is entry-level too, it uses the same type of gauges as the Ford Figo and Brazilian Ka, but with diff graphics/fonts.
Looks better than I first thought, specially after seeing more photos of it.
