FORD OF CANADA AND CIRQUE TEAM UP FOR NEW ROUND OF ADVERTISEMENTS
Ford Motor has had a unique history of advertisements with everything from the "Built Ford Tough" campaigns featuring Toby Keith and now Mike Rowe. We had the eternal, "Have You Driven A Ford Lately" jingle of the 80s and 90s, and we had the recent "Ford: Bold Moves" line as well. But now Ford of Canada and Cirque Du Soleil have teamed up to bring a whole new style of advert to promote the new line of Ford Cars and their relation to you the consumer. Have a look and tell us what you think?
We also have some mild commentary courtesy of Autoblog.com.
So, what do you think...is this a great idea or just one more commercial that will run and disappear...leave your thought here.Ford would like to think that it's a car company for the people, and the Blue Oval's latest TV commercial for Canada features zero cars. What the ad does show is a group of men and women dressed in Ford-issue blue going Cirque Du Soleil to form the silhouette of a Fusion and an Edge. The vehicles are very recognizable too, even though the 18 or so hominids use very minimal props. It's hard to say whether the ad is neat or creepy, so we'll let you decide in the comments after watching the 30-second clip.
