Ford of Canada Retains Sales Title in June

OAKVILLE, Ont. – An overall sales increase of seven percent fuelled Ford Motor Company of Canada, Ltd.'s sales leadership in June with strength across the lineup, including a 52 percent increase in hybrid model sales.

"We saw strong sales performances across our lineup in June -- from our fun-to-drive cars, to fuel-efficient utility vehicles and best-selling trucks," said Dianne Craig, president and CEO, Ford Motor Company of Canada, Ltd. "We look forward to building on this sales momentum in July as we kick off our annual Ford Employee Pricing event."

Sales of the Fiesta increased by 13 percent, Fusion sales jumped eight percent, and Fusion Hybrid sales were up 19 percent. And C-MAX, which is offered as a hybrid and plug-in hybrid model, marked its best June sales ever.

A 21 percent increase in overall SUV/CUV sales was driven by Flex, Escape and Explorer in June, which rose by 27 percent, 39 percent and 13 percent respectively. It was the best June for Explorer in 10 years.

June Highlights

Yay, good news, Canada rocks! :)

Why don't they do a chart like in the US? I really love pouring over the sales figures, it would be great if they did that for Canada too!
