Ford to offer 'Tough Bed' spray-in bed liner

Ford has announced that it will begin offering a spray-in bed liner — dubbed Tough Bed — on all 2009 model year F-Series Super Duty trucks produced at the company's Louisville, Kentucky plant. While spray-in bed liners have grown in popularity over the past several years, Ford is only the second OEM to offer the option. Nissan was the first truck maker to offer a factory spray-in bed liner back in 2004.

Tough Bed — which was co-developed with PPG — will serve as an alternative to the more traditional drop-in plastic bed liners that Ford currently offers.

According to Pickup, the Tough Bed liner will be covered under Ford's 3-year, 36,000 mile warranty.

Ford has yet to release pricing for the Tough Bed option. No word on when the option will be available on the F-150.
