FORD TO OFFER "TOUGH BED" SPRAY-IN BED LINER FOR 2009

Ford Motor Company is now the second OEM Manufacturer to offer a Factory Spray-In Bed Liner as an installed option and if you purchase a new 2009 F-Series Super Duty, then you can have one.

For all 2009 F-Series Super Duty models manufactured at Ford's Louisville Plant, Ford will offer and install a factory spray-in bed liner dubbed "Tough Bed" into the beds of the truck. Tough Bed was shown at Chicago this year as part of the new Work Truck Program that Ford showed...including RFID Tags in its bed to read and inventory tools as well as a built in computer in the dash.

Ford to offer 'Tough Bed' spray-in bed liner

Ford has announced that it will begin offering a spray-in bed liner — dubbed Tough Bed — on all 2009 model year F-Series Super Duty trucks produced at the company's Louisville, Kentucky plant. While spray-in bed liners have grown in popularity over the past several years, Ford is only the second OEM to offer the option. Nissan was the first truck maker to offer a factory spray-in bed liner back in 2004.

Tough Bed — which was co-developed with PPG — will serve as an alternative to the more traditional drop-in plastic bed liners that Ford currently offers.

According to Pickup Truck.com, the Tough Bed liner will be covered under Ford's 3-year, 36,000 mile warranty.

Ford has yet to release pricing for the Tough Bed option. No word on when the option will be available on the F-150.
Stay Fabulous!
