GM will begin notifying 181,516 Chevrolet owners of a recall involving their 2006-2008 Chevrolet HHRs as their vehicles are not up to Federal Crash Test Standards.

Here is the full scoop courtesy of Left Lane News.com.

GM recalls 181,516 Chevrolet HHRs

General Motors and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration have announced the recall of 181,516 2006-2008 model year HHRs. The recall is due to new findings that discovered some HHR models were not up to Federal crash standards.

HHR models not equipped with optional roof rail airbags were found to not meet Federal standards, and could cause head injuries in certain types of crashes.

Starting in March, Chevrolet dealers will begin installing a new energy-absorbing plastic piece to the headliner trim to fix the defect.
So, if you happen to own the Chevrolet HHR without the optional roof rail airbags...then expect a Recall Notice to be in your mail box in the coming weeks, or head over to your Chevrolet Dealer as soon as possible to have the problem corrected.

As Always...Stay Fabulous!

This is one very neat little truck. Mbuku has one. Its a blast to drive. And Very cushy and nice inside for an econobox.. plus with the 2.4 Liter, it will suprise a Camry driver from the stop light by smoking them flat out

A good friend of mine here in Scottsdale has one with the Ecotec 2.0 and the Manual...it is a fun little car and is quite impressive. It has plenty of power and Chevrolet did a really nice job with the HHR. I am certain that it will remain far more relevant than the now dead Chrysler PT Cruiser and will stay far more stylish over the long run.

Stay Fabulous!
