Lincoln Launches Free 3 year/45,000 Mile Maintenance Program

With the death of Mercury, Ford promised to give Lincoln an injection of fresh product and exclusive technology in order to make the luxury marque more competitive. Now, Lincoln has announced that all purchases between now and September 7 of this summer will come with free scheduled maintenance for the first three years or 45,000 miles.

Ford’s sole remaining luxury brand, Lincoln, will begin offering free oil changes, tire rotations, vehicle inspections, engine belts and hoses, as well as wear and tear items such as wiper blades and brake pads.

“Our commitment is to further grow the Lincoln brand and offer our luxury customers the premium experience they deserve and expect,” said Ken Czubay, Ford Motor Company’s vice president of U.S. marketing, sales and service. “Our free scheduled maintenance offer marks only the first step in our plans to further upgrade the Lincoln experience.”

Following the sales event this summer, Lincoln promises to add its first-ever C-segment vehicle, an array of Lincoln-exclusive powertrains including an all-new V6 and new transmissions. Lincoln also committed to added EcoBoost engines across the entire lineup, which would mark the first application of EcoBoost in a full-size Ford or Lincoln SUV.

IF the Lincoln-ette is really that close to Either reveal OR sale
does that mean
- it really IS a rebadged Merc?
or
- did FoMoCo do a double-develop? and WHY?
or
- was the whole SmallMercTheorem ONE BIG LIE from start to finish?

re-edit
the way the font size WAS looked bigger on my puter

^^^^Why do you make your words so small???? What is the purpose?????

back on topic......This maintenance program should be standard with Lincoln anyways. Making it only available as some kind of promotion is just rediculous.

Detroit 3 headlines: Lincolns to come with free service

New buyers of Lincoln cars and trucks will receive up to three years of free service -- if they buy a vehicle by Sept. 7. The offer comes two weeks after Ford revealed plans to eliminate its Mercury brand and raise the profile of its luxury Lincoln brand. Ford said the program is the first step in upgrading Lincoln's customer service.

Cadillac and Lincoln Dangle Maintenance Perks in Front of Buyers - InsideLine

Published Jun 21, 2010
Just the Facts:
  • Cadillac will provide owners of all 2011 models with free maintenance for four years or 50,000 miles.
  • Lincoln announced a similar program last week.
DETROIT — In the ongoing battle to win luxury buyers, Cadillac and Lincoln have announced new programs to cover scheduled maintenance.

Cadillac on Monday said it will provide owners of all 2011 models with "frequently required maintenance services" for the first four years or 50,000 miles. The program covers scheduled oil changes, tire rotations, replacement of engine and cabin air filters and a multipoint vehicle inspection.

Lincoln on Friday rolled out free scheduled maintenance for three years or 45,000 miles for all customers who buy or lease a new Lincoln until September 7. The Lincoln program covers new 2010 or 2011 vehicles. The Lincoln program covers oil changes, tire rotations, vehicle inspections, engine belts and hoses, as well as "wear items, including brake pads and wiper blades, which normally are not covered by a vehicle warranty," the company said in a statement.

Inside Line says: The domestic luxury brands duke it out to a draw — at least for those buyers concerned about maintenance costs. — Anita Lienert, Correspondent

So Cadillac just killed Lincoln's "Promotional" warranty gimmick with one press release. Anything but free maintenance on all Lincolns is a FAIL.
