I'm guessing most of Flex sales at this point are fleet sales.
Maybe a lot, but certainly not all. More important, it remains relatively popular on the west coast, where other Ford non-truck models remain scarce (save the Mustang, of course). Better to sell 20k a year, some of which is to consumers, than to sell 2,500 a year to fleet only.

Honestly, I don't know how it's going to be cost-effective to keep the line going for such a small number. Nothing about this decision makes any sense to me.

This is fascinating. Two MKTs, one with the recently refreshed horizontal split wing grille, and one with a welded on Continental/Star Shadow grille!!! Kinda trippy!!!

Speaking of, we just purchased a fully loaded 2013 MKT EcoBoost. It's a quirky looking car, but it has every possible tech feature, a ton of space and power, and was a helluva deal!

I still think they should put the new grill on the MKT if they are going to keep it around - even if it's only a fleet vehicle. As long as it has a Lincoln badge on it, it needs to be up to par.
Well, I've seen (and I think posted) a document that points to 2019 being the last model year for both MKT and Flex, so that's probably your answer right there.
