^ well Geauxfish, I'm not an insider so hopefully someone else could find what I could
& everyone else who DOES find them on the web, PLEASE repost them-or-links here

I think it is silly for Ford to get rid of so many trim levels...I think it is more confusing to have lots of packages. It makes more sense to me to have more trim levels with fewer add on packages available.

On the positive side, the Focus SE gets standard alloy wheels.
I'm also disappointed that they killed the yellow color. I thought it looked great and I saw lots of them on the road.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DS!!!
&
I agree about trims/pkgs, no idea why Ford's doing this except maybe people will 'settle' on pkgs (taking one off the lot with-more-or-without what they ideally want) more than they'll give up a trim...which DOES show On The Car
(I'd like No 'S' but SE,SFE,SES,SEL,Tit,ST,RS for the Focus)
&
the yellow will still come on the ST iirc/afaik
BUT
it does seem to me like Ford is 'cutting back' on the customizability of the Focus
Ford

but then I of course really miss having a "bit-nicer-than" version with a waterfall grille

dunno how new this is
but Lincoln has features/options for the new Z at
www.lincoln.com/cars/mkz/2013/options/

imho interesting that a regular one-pane moonroof is STD,
the sliding glassroof is OPT on every trim level
&
I don't remember seeing a page quite like this before,
wonder if it points the way to 'Bespoke'?

The cloth upholstery must be a typo.
yeaaaaaaaaah...but that's a HECK of a typo!!!
tho the little swatch-in-picture DOES look like leather
&
I saw elsewhere that the higher trims are supposed get Bridge of Weir leather instead of "ordinary" leather

actually
I'd like there to be a no-cost-difference Luxury Cloth option
not sure what that'd be
but sometimes leather kinda creeps me out

Things aren't final as stated. It is just for research. The packages could change too. Hopefully, the colors change too! The color palette is terrible.

The Mark 7 had a nice cloth/leather combo. Hopefully something like that makes the list. I would prefer a cloth insert diamond pattern similar to the '68 Mark 3 which could be carried to the door trim to make the whole thing come together.

2b2, a nice super deep pure dark blue and green would look equally as nice in addition to the super deep black. Perhaps there could be a finish applied to the final topcoat process to give the car that deep "wet" look that we try to get using special wax treatment. The treatment that I used back in the early 1990's on my black '88 Saab Turbo Convertible I owned looked stunning when shined up.

Could real 2-tone color pacakges make a comeback? Have the hood/roof/decklid either a lighter or darker to bodyside colors. 2-tone color combos add more distinction to the look and body contours of the design.

I *think* I like Leather+ultrasuede (microfiber cloth) - never lived with it

agree about the deep green too - imho much better than the GingerPuke
esp for a Luxury Brand!!

& imho, for 2tone paint to really work, the styling has to take that into account = ie planned for it;
tho the original Lexus way of changing the rocker area shading would prolley be easier, tho less eyecatching.
I had thought of doing tone-on-tone with matte(semi"flat") on the sides and gloss on top of the exact same color
but it seems that matte finishes, as they become available, are losing the wow-factor (imho)

&
seems the MKZ BuildOne has been slightly updated,
I'm now sure that "cloth" is a typo & there are 2 (at least) grades of Leather: with & without perforations

wheels (prices = Reserve trim)

MKZ - 01 Oct 2012
Wow - less than a month - and we still don't know all the details of some features.

Why aren't they able to show us a little demo about the car (features, new cluster, seats etc.). Again, Caddy showed their CUE months ahead - and 4 weeks ahead of production, we have seen nothing about Lincolns new approach.

By now, I've seen enough "concepts" and "visions" - I want the beef!:thumb:

oh swell - you saw that and commented already

those I posted (& deleted asap) are for THIS year - the stuff we already know about.
I was thinking, due to some odd-imho phrasing, that those were next year dates

it's normal for full details to be unknown until around the Job1 date
