I hope Lincoln (as only obvious, beyond sensible/smart) designs a spectacular LincStang Coupe(cabrio) FIRST
then
does the heavy-lifting, major re-engineering to build a sportsedan that uses the coupe-cues as much as possible on what HAS TO BE more FUNCTIONal than mind-blowing FORM

I remember reading somewhere a year or 2 ago that Cadillac styling was not liked by China due to the design being to bold and harsh. Cadillac was going to change the styling to be acceptable.

The CTS Coupe was a no-compromises design, the new ATS Coupe is a car that will not require as many compromises by its owner as the CTS did. I do believe that while it is far less distinctive it also will find a wider audience.

And 2b2, I liked the 2nd gen CTS, but I think the 3rd gen is a far more mature, more elegant vehicle! For my tastes I think Cadillac really nailed it with the new ATS, and even more so the CTS!!

Big door coupes tend to make the interior appear larger through easier egress/ingress. Combined with the lower price point may make this sell better than one might expect. I doubt it would be better than sedan, but certainly better than far more expensive CTS coupe.
