today's excuse for a Poll is brought to you by the Conti-NAIAS thread
and the Letter: 'b' ...

..I'm wondering
IF the Conti is on a version/cousin of the Z's CD4 platform,
IF they could RS-iffy both cars' drivetrains for the cost of ONE (which might be partly-mostly paid for already by the Focus('GKN')RS?
crossreference:
So
[x]
the FoRS has it
who else should?
[x]
Conti
(3.0EB)
[x] MKZ-Sport
(2.7EB imho)
[x] Fusion-ST/
(SHO?) (2.3EB imho)
[x] other
^multiple-choice will snitch who voted what

...edit
afaik mods used to be able to edit Polls,
but I've never tried to (until Now!)
so if it doesn't let me, here's a couple write-ins:
[x] = MKC-Sport
oughta be the easiest
[x] NONE of the above =
leave it unique to the FoRS

see who voted WHICH
.

I don't know how to answer. I want a system much like Audi uses, giving their cars a more RWD driving dynamic, not sure it needs to be as high performance as what the RS needs, maybe so, maybe not, I don't know.

.? :nevreness:

tho
what I'm curious about is WHY NOT the (toptrim/maxHP) CONTI?
afaik, this has nothing to do with changing the ride characteristics...
...just allows for rear-biased Awd,
with every wheel able to get most/a lot of the torque - under certain circumstances

thinking the 3.0EB will only go into...
tho the first SALES of the AlumiNator might not be until after Jan 1, 2017
I still think the 3 models you mention are much closer to 1 YEAR's worth of debuts;
specifically, could have their 1st sales within 12 months of eachother
&
-- no idea what comes after the aluNavi but before cD6
-- IF that's more than a FRACTION of a Year
-- sure hope something is already penciled-in
larger
-- not sure putting the StarShadow grille on the X & C is enough
-- an ALL-NEW C/mkC-RS might be close-to-enough
-- want MOAR!!!
just thought:
when the mkC-RS comes out (between the AluNavi & cD6)
(( 2nd-half cy2017/2018modelyear or first-half cy2018/2019modelyear ))
hopefully the top X will get the 3.0 along with the RS-treatment**
(even if that means it won't go cD6 asap)

UPDATE:
[x]
Conti (3.0EB)
[x] MKZ-Sport
(2.7EB imho)
[x] Fusion-ST/
(SHO?) (2.3EB imho)
[x] other:
[x] MKC-Sport
[x] X19-Sport
[x] Tbird
[x] all toptrim Mercurys
forgot they're all hybrids or plug-ins

** edit: BORG's post just reminded me about the new 9-speed transmission ... Wonder if it could become available BEFORE the X gets the 3.0EB??

the new forum software lets me modify Polls
so
added 3 more choices
( since it seems we can RE-vote :nerd: )

[x]
Continental
[x] MKZ-Sport
[x] Fusion-ST/(SHO?)
[x] other

[x] MKC-Sport (late, after-UPdate add)

[x] ALL of the above
maybe more? (late, after-UPdate add)

[x] none of the above (late, after-UPdate add)

I was afraid to change the order of the old choices...

here's how the votes stood

we might be finding out some of the availability at NAIAS
& I've been playing with my LSL (LincolnSportLine) idea(s)
so LastChance RS-ification speculation...
[x] Conti (3.0t ... still maybe 3.5t) STD on all except Fwd
[x] MKZ-Sport
(2.7EB imho) Opt on all except Fwd
[x] Fusion ...ST-ONLY
[x] MKC ...Sport-ONLY
[x] MKX ...Std on all with 3.0t
[x] Aviator = n/a = Rwd
and I'm curious which trims will get it on the BUICK Lacrosse
