I'd also like to redo the drivetrains asap

replace the 3.7 (303/278) with a 2.3EB (295/305) - they'll prolley do that when the AlumiNator comes out
and I'd have diff tunes of the 2.3 for Fwd ~295hp & Awd ~320hp?
...the 2.7EB can do More...
tho not both F- and A- wheeldrive at each trim
plus add a Sport with the 400+hp 3.0EB
so
Select Fwd = 2.3EB/290hp, Only
Select Awd = 2.3EB/320hp --- 2.7EB/355hp
Reserve Fwd = 2.3EB/300hp -- 2.7EB/335hp?
Reserve Awd = .................... 2.7EB/355hp -- 3.0EB/425
[BL] Fwd = ......................... 2.7EB/335hp?
[BL] Awd = ......................... 2.7EB/355hp -- 3.0EB/425
[WL] Awd = ........................ 2.7EB/355hp -- 3.0EB/425

and ^that^ is only 12 versions compared to the existing 16

otoh (I forgot)
since imho there needs to be a Plug-In
maybe a small(er) EB-PI could replace the 'plain' EB4...
... around 300hp combined, with Virtual-Awd!!
Select = ...EB-PI
Reserve = EB-PI -- 2.7EB/355hp -- 3.0EB/425
[BL] = .....EB-PI -- 2.7EB/355hp -- 3.0EB/425
[WL] = ....EB-PI -- 2.7EB/355hp -- 3.0EB/425
?

edit: 2.7EB = +$2,000 over 3.7 prices^shown
wondering about HowMuch a 2.7EB Z-Sport could cost
( & my fixation:
how the price of an MKS-mce with the same engine as BASE, would fit in )
((my D3/4 "Taurino" too!) ref: Rofl Wafflez's comment)
((( guestimates:
MKSmce = $48or49.9 - $70k ... SHO = $39.9 - $49k )))

MKZ____________________________ + delchg 925 all
$??,??? [WhiteLabel] someday/whatever
$50,795 [BL] 2.7EB Awd-only Z-Sport guess
$48,795 [BlackLabel] 3.7 Awd
$48,905 Reserve 2.7EB Awd-only Z-Sport guess
$47,495 [BlackLabel] 2.0EB Awd
$46,905 [BlackLabel] 3.7 Fwd
$45,605 [BlackLabel] 2.0EB Fwd or 2.0-Hybrid Fwd
$42,800 Reserve 3.7 Awd
$42,316 Select 2.7EB Awd-only Z-Sport guess (=LSL?**)
$41,410 Reserve 2.0 Awd
$40,910 Reserve 3.7 Fwd
$40,380 Premiere 2.7EB Awd-only Z-Sport guess (if offered)
$40,315 Select 3.7 Awd
$39,610 Reserve 2.0EB Fwd or 2.0-Hybrid Fwd
$39,015 Select 2.0 Awd
$38,425 Select 3.7 Fwd
$38,380 Premiere 3.7 Awd
$37,125 Select 2.0EB Fwd or 2.0-Hybrid Fwd
$37,080 Premiere 2.0 Awd
$36,490 Premiere 3.7 Fwd
$35,190 Premiere 2.0EB Fwd or 2.0-Hybrid Fwd

notes:
- that's a LOT of pricepoints!
- I used blue for the Z-Sport just cuz I dislike "red label"

:nevreness: **see "nother Q" in [Poll For Fun] Lincoln SPORT-Line: "LSL"
- & imho the Z prices need a(n)(little) increase

Sorry 2b2 I misread the poll my vote was for the 2 BASE trims.

Base- other - AWD should be standard
High - BL 2.7AWD because FWD shouldn't be a thing.

I know many argue in favor of the FWD. I am more easily moved on the matter when talking about the base engine. That said, the 2.7EB should at least be AWD exclusively. A FWD 2.7EB shouldn't be a thing.

:thumb:
Agree about Fwd, gjrip, both that
- an entry/base Fwd trim is tempting to include
&
- definitely makes No sense with a 2.7EB that's plainly capable of upto/near 400hp unless deliberately ham-strung
+
- one of my favorite aspects of a thru-the-road/Virtual-Awd hybrid/plugin...DO NOT understand how any mfg can still offer FwdOnly hybrids

so..................
how do you feel about vinyl?
aka LuxurySoftTouch (gag me!
)

I am just going to go with BL AWD. I am not sure if that model is ready for WL treatment, any program like that should debut on the Conti.

If they could pull it off, I'd be okay with it. But they'd need to find a **** of a supplier. Many people hold the opinion that the BMW pleather is more comfortable and longer lasting than their real leather!

compare/contrasting the Explorer from the .Pdf I posted in the OG thread

for some reason I'm OK with all 10 (TEN) of those equipment groups ...I think...

tho sorta wonder if that's because of the sales volume?
like 20,000 of one trimlevel is enough??
( don't tell Lincoln that )

I reaLLy want to get XT5 prices but meanwhile...
[x] $38,100 Premiere Front-wheel Drive (vinyl)
[x]
$40,595 Premiere All-wheel Drive (vinyl)
[x]
$41,390 Select Front-wheel Drive
[x] $43,885 Select All-wheel Drive
[x] $45,155 Reserve Front-wheel Drive
[x] $47,650 Reserve All-wheel Drive
[x] $53,315 [Black Label] Front-wheel Drive
[x] $55,810 [Black Label] All-wheel Drive
[x] $60,??? [White Label] bespoke** Awd 2.7EB Only?

( +$2000 :: 2.7EB )
by my reckoning
-- forget the Jag diesel
-- forget the vinyl X's & 3.7v6 & Fwd

so
Select Awd MKX 2.7EB = $45,885

will hafta wait to find the equivalent "J.F-P" trim
cuz the above numbers are all base

thanks to:
Regarding headlights: Premiere and Select get fixed HIDs, Reserve gets Adaptive (cornering) HID, Luxury Package/BL gets Adaptive LEDs that don't turn but change the width of beam based on speed.
:thumb:
pretty sure I'd want the Adaptive HIDs on most(?) Selects

wanted to post Jpd's comment from GMI

When using the Lincoln configurator, it becomes clear that the price jumps significantly at each step.

The $38K starting price gets you a FWD 3.7 with Premiere equipment group.

Switch to 2.7 EB & AWD and the price jumps to $42,700 just like that and then click the Reserve trim option and we're just under $50K and we're only two panes in on the configurator.

On interior options, check Climate package, Driver assistance package, Luxury Package, Technology Package, Trailer Tow package and we're up to $58,495

On the exterior, add 21" premium Painted Wheels and the price is $59,660.......

One MKX can be under $40K and another over $60K, completely different buyers.
& my reply

I'm too completely overwhelmed with data to read entire threads, but GLAD I saw your post, Jpd...

as I implied in a FiN trim Poll
I do not consider a vinyl-upholstered Fwd MKX to be a "real Lincoln"
& am eager for them to ditch the bait'n'switch deals
